My topic is currently making ripples (and tidal waves!), not only in online subculture, but right out there in all forms of social and mainstream media.

Prostitution…..many people claim it as one of humanities oldest professions and they have traced its roots back to the Mesopotamian Sumerian civilizations of over 5000 years ago. Mainly women, but men also, and sometimes children, have either sold themselves, or have been sold, for the sexual gratification of others since the history of civilization was first recorded. There are varying accounts of how and why prostitution occurred, religious perspectives, cultural perspectives, and prostitution in terms of political, social, and financial influences.
