101 Days for the Slaves

Thoroughly Modern Millie, a musical set in the twenties, is a delightful comedy, but it’s n53d0078c90484.preview-620ot all fun and games. It also has an important message.

The stage production of Millie was performed recently at the Heyde Center for the Arts in Chippewa Falls, WI,* and I went not only to watch, but also to represent Fierce Freedom. Although the main plot is lighthearted: girl gets boy, girl loses boy, girl gets boy again, it also has a serious sub plot: girl busts an international “white slavery” (i.e. trafficking) ring.
