Sex Trafficking: Our New Guest


Money, power, and sex. No, those aren’t rap lyrics, they are words associated with the growing phenomenon of sex trafficking. Sex trafficking seems to be hitting closer to home for Americans and strict immigration laws might have something to do with it.

Imagine being snatched from everything you once knew: not being able to see your family, or friends again, not knowing what’s going to happen next. Imagine being trapped in a prison- mentally and physically- unable to escape. You are used and abused, treated like an animal; you are anything but a human being in the eyes of your captor. You may never return back to the life you once knew because death could be right around the corner at any moment. How do you go on? How do you not break down? Who will help you? Who will believe you?
