Your daughter starts acting differently. She’s receding backwards. She has nightmares 6-8 times a night but won’t tell you what is wrong. You look at her and she is a shell of the person that she used to be. You have no idea what is going on. Counselors won’t see her because of her age. What do you do?

I called children services from this point. I told them what my daughter was doing, how different she was. She had recently started overnight visits with her biological father, so I believed that she was having anxiety from the changes she was experiencing. Children Services sent her to a place called Harmony House, counseling just for children.
